Chapter 9 - Huangshan's Guesthouse

Back to Huangshan, Yu Lexuan and Zhang Yi are guided to another room, after they finish their dishes. Their carriage is inspected and their horse is fed by the soldiers, who also accommodate it in another location. Ding Qi makes sure to spare a bedroom big enough for his guests, with two beds and a balcony:

-Please, come in.

Yu Lexuan and Zhang Yi enter inside the big bedroom:

-I think this room is appropriate for our guests today. It has two beds for you, and from the balcony, you can have a nice overlook of our city. There are several spaces where you can put your personal belongings. This room has also a private restroom, so you don't have to leave it to do your necessities. The water is warm all the time.- Ding Qi smiles.

Yu Lexuan and Zhang Yi bow to him:

-We appreciate the heartwarming reception from your majesty. 
-You can rise. When will you start your survey?- Ding Qi turns and walks towards the door.
-We intend to start it today. - Zhang Yi smiles.
-Right. As I said before, someone will follow you all the time, once you are outside this room. I guarantee no one will spy on you here. 
-No problem, majesty. We will wait until you pick someone to follow us.

Ding Qi points towards one of his soldiers:

-Wang, you will follow them. 

The soldier bows to Ding Qi:

-Your majesty, your wish is an order!
-You can rise. Make sure to keep a record of what they are doing. Again, not on my personal behalf, just a mere formality. And follow them from afar, you should only get close if they ask you to do it. 
-Your majesty is right.
-I wish you a good stay, please report to me anything you may think would be bothering you. My empire is pleased to cooperate in this important matter. 

All three bow to each other. Ding Qi rises first, turns around, and leaves the room. Wang also leaves but stays outside of it. Zhang Yi and Yu Lexuan look at each other:

-Well, if you want to start it now, no problems for me. - Yu Lexuan goes toward the door.
-Yes, we can do it. I'm eager to get information fast, every hour lost may mean dozens of new infections.

Zhang Yi follows Yu Lexuan. As soon as they cross the dor, Wang also follows them, keeping some distance, as ordered by Ding Qi.
